Page 8 is one of the most accident prone ever! I did a huge mistake in the clothing of Pharaun and Ryld.
While drawing Rylds I always repeated the mantra 'Must not forget muscle, muscle...." etc to remind myself not to let him become as skinny as Pharaun.
After I inked to the end I suddenly had the thought, 'hey, isn't Ryld wearing a chestplate?' flips back the previous pages...*Screams*
Unfortunately as I ink by hand, it is not a simple thing as picking up an eraser and rubbing my mistake away.
The answer to this? Pour on more ink and change it into armor!
Pharaun's one I left it alone since I'm actually still adjusting his 'look'.
The text has also been modified from the original since if I had left it as it is, half the page would be text and nothing else.
So far, I've only covered part of the 1st chapter of Dissolution; it should be over in 2 more pages before we can (finally) move on to the other characters.
The question is...which one? Gromph? Triel? Quenthel? or Greyanna?
Gromph! Or Triel, I liked her a lot too XP Glad to see more of these pages, I started reading through the first book again before I bought a copy of His Dark Materials. One bit thing I noticed is that the last panel with Ryld, the first time a looked at it I thought the bottle had hit him on the shoulder... I think if the movement line were his arm movement instead of the bottle it may help... but that's just my first impression
Eheheheh... Nice mistake, nice mistake! I'd like your mistakes to be all like this! I am thrilled every time you come out with a new page! Keep up!
In this one I just love the expressions on their faces. Very drowish. They are "friends", but it's like they don't want to show it to its end and they don't want to trust/appreciate each other for real. Just lovely! And I like your attention to details!
Some people have been asking me about this stuff so I decided to gather all information in one single article on how to make your own portfolio, in a profesional and clean looking way. I hope it's useful, because these steps I myself take.
In this article I will provide you some ideas how you can build your own homestudio for considerably cheaper price than it would cost to use "official" studio gear. I will also show you few examples where I have used the gear I describe during this article.
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More

In life, I want to be like Switzerland. "Neutral", well-informed, a friend of all and innocent of everything
P.S.: do more Pharauns, please))

I only blame myself for everything because I'd hate to depend on the world.
*Keep drawing*

Especially since you tend to tell me exactly what is it you like about the page.
It helps alot in the planning of future pages
I haven't had the time to try HDM yet but I heard it's a good book.
Oh dear. I was trying for an effect where Ryld kind of snatch the bottle in mid-air. Perhaps I should have strengthen the speed lines on his arms.
Thanks for pointing it out
Unfortunately, its a tie between those two.
There will be, of course, more Pharaun.^^
