This is my entry for the deviant art Okami contest.

It was surprisingly easy and fun to do this piece, I thought up the concept, gathered my resource materials and finished the piece within 3 days.

I remembered an American game magazine interview with one of the Okami developers;
where he mentioned that some of the game elements"is so Japanese, some Japanese don't even know it's Japanese." Thus I put in extra effort in research to give it a more Japanese feel.

Can't believe I handdraw the ink strokes through esp since I never had the patience previously to learn traditional painting. XD
