Submission for the Religion contest on Lolth-Scourge
It is often mentioned in the Forgotten Realms that females, especially priestesses of Lolth dare not love any male too deeply.
For those who do would be ordered by Lolth to make sacrifice on the Dark Mother's altar usually in the form of
of their lover's heart.
In this piece, a priestress had just done that but retained the head of her beloved to grieve...obviously she has not learnt her lesson fully.
But Lolth is watching and she is not pleased.
